LEGO CUUSOO has finally dropped its beta project (and odd enough name) to become LEGO Ideas. The layout of the site is much more streamlined and easy to find the most popular projects, which could be a double-edged sword.
On one side, we've got more projects which could potentially go into review. But on the other hand, it seems more one-sided. We now have "Staff Picks", where the team decides on the projects they like most and throws them at the top of the page for all to support. Then we have the popular projects, which get secondmost attention. We also can see the projects in review for next quarter, as well as order the sets CUUSOO had passed.
Random projects which you could see back in CUUSOO are all but gone, replaced with "recommended" projects. Close enough, I guess. But you only get a couple of those. You can also discover new projects by hitting "Discover" on the homepage (or any other page).
Is this a good new layout? Visually, yes. You can't deny that. But for noticing projects? That's a matter of opinion.
Any other thoughts?
