So... yeah. Stunt Rally works absolutely flawlessly... until I start a race. My keyboard just won't respond. I've tried changing the control to the mouse, but that didn't work either, even though it works in the menus. I've encountered a similar issue in Lego Racers, but it stops if I quit out and restart the game at least 6 times... my computer is weird... but anyway, I can't try that solution here because if I quit out of Stunt Rally, I can't get back in unless I log out of my account and log back in.

Does anybody have any idea whatsoever?


EDIT: I found the solution. It was actually my Anti-Virus software. Apparently there was a recent update to it that not only glitches out the controls in nearly all of my old computer games, it also prevents Origin and Steam from starting. In fact, this update has pretty much been the cause of all my computer problems lately, and I'm glad I can fix it by ending all processes related to the program.

Have you tried compatility mode or installing the DirectX version on the disk? I don't expect it to help, but you may as well try it.

I've already tried numerous compatibility modes, and none of them seem to work. I've tried installing the DX version too, but an error pops up before it's finished. Something about -1, I can't quite remember.

The weird thing is, it worked about 6 months ago when I first tried it on this computer, but now it won't.
