[Cyrem]

Thank-you for your patience while the forum was offline. The downtime was a result of a malicious bulk mailer script that was uploaded. As a result, I estimate 3,000 or more emails were sent out possibly containing a virus in the attached document with the emails.

If you are visiting this website after receiving an email from this domain, please understand this email was not from us. Please delete the email immediately and do not open the attachment.

From logs, the person who did this does know what they are doing and has used methods to cover their identity. It also looks like they performed tests at the end of November.

The good news is that the forum was not harmed and you may continue discussion as normal.

You've probably noticed the blue badge on the right. This is replacing the modder award. This badge is more visible then the icon and you can recognise modders more easily. This is probably more useful to new members who don't know who can mod. Every modder with 2 mods qualifies for one of these badges.

Wait... so what exactly happened to all of the award badges on user profiles? (they're still existing in the awards tab but don't show in the forum anymore...)

I think I hearf Cyrem say when the site was offline that they had their own mailing list, and thus they probably weren't using our member list. I got nothing from them.

I've hidden them at the moment. I think it makes posts look cleaner. At the moment, showing them isn't even useful since the mouse hover doesn't work.

You do, look at your profile page and the awards tab. It's just they don't feature on the member sidebar thing no more.
