Nue
After a long 10 years, I have decided to pick up my childhood favourite game and start playing again. The nostalgia is just... eeeeeeeeee~ Unfortunately, I spend most of my time now on Steam talking to my friends, which renders me unable to play games from 1998 as they are not compatible with the chat overlay. So, I decided I would use windowed mode instead. I go to the "target" field of my LEGO Racers shortcut and add "-window". I then boot LEGO Racers. ... And it isn't in fullscreen. However, it does have this peculiar bug where it completely IGNORES any changes I make to my drivers' appearance. The bug is fixed when I boot without -window. Can somebody help me with this? I am running it on Windows Vista (I have also tried compatibility mode).
Acmex
Did you bother setting it to 16 bit colour depth? I mean, I don't think it should start without it but it's worth a shot.
McJobless
Have you checked to see if they have developed a seperate application to force windowed mode? In some cases, it works better if you use a manual loader.
le717
You will have to set your monitor to 16-bit color mode in order to get windowed mode to work. I tried it on Window Vista, and it worked. Just be sure to change back to 32-bit color when your through playing ;)
lol username
What they said above, it ignores it unless you're in 16-bit color mode.
